 "Moving Forward” is the theme of the next FOTA Annual Conference to be held at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. How appropriate in these times of health care changes and focused evidence based practice!

Conference dates to mark on your calendars! Friday February 11, 2011. Starting in the afternoon, we’ll have student posters, FOTA business meeting, awards, an awesome reception and a dynamite keynote speaker to round out the day!

Saturday February 12, 2011 will be filled with great one and two hour presentations.

Progressive Therapy in Pinecrest is looking for a PT to do Evals and per diem coverage.  We also need a PTA to do per diem coverage. We have been around for 20 years and believe in Excellent care.  Manual Therapy is our forte.  Our therapists average 17 years of experience.  We treat patients for the top Physicians in Miami.  Our passion is Orthopedics and our patient satisfaction has been tremendous.

 It is our belief that we can work hard, achieve awesome results and have fun doing it.  If you are tired of treating too many patients at the same time and are frustrated trying to do Evals and treatments at the same time, maybe you should give us a call.  There is another option out there.  Come join the Progressive Team.  On our team right now we have a DPT who also teaches @ the university, a therapist who also is a personal trainer, a therapist who trained as an ATC and a Certified Hand Therapist in OT.  Bring your strengths to us and lets work together.

Job is to provide occupational therapy services to children ages 3-5 with an educational diagnosis of Autism.
Essential Job Functions:

1. Perform assessments/evaluations and write up assessments /evaluations in parentally friendly manner.

2. Participate in trans-disciplinary treatment planning, ongoing evaluation, and follow-up.

3. Establish therapy goals for program and individuals.

4. Write objectives for programs and/or individuals.

5. Maintain complete and accurate records.

6. Assist in preparation and presentation of school wide training of staff.

7. Attend appropriate staff meetings.

8. Attend and participate in IEP meetings.

9. Provide occupational therapy treatment to children as identified by OT eligibility.

10. Document treatment as required by Baudhuin and Broward County standards.

11. Provide consultative and/or collaborative information with staff and parents.

12. Other duties as assigned.

Marginal Job Functions:

1. Write reports.

2. Assist Associate Dean on special projects as requested.

3. Participate in appropriate conferences and disseminate information.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. Behaviorally orientated.

2. Able to work flexible hours.

Required Certifications/Licensures:

In association with Physiotherapy Associates, The Rainbow Center is part of one of the largest network of pediatric outpatient facilities in the western suburbs and has new growth opportunities for FULL TIME and PRN Staff Occupational Therapists in Aurora.
